Jiang Zemin attends CPPCC group discussions  |

Today is the second day of the fifth and final annual session of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference or CPPCC.
More than two thousand members from throughout the country have begun to discuss the work report delivered yesterday by Vice Chairman Ye Xuanping. The report notes work by the CPPCC to promote the "Three Represent's" and offers suggestions for the Tenth Five－Year Plan. President Jiang Zemin and Committee Chairman Li Ruihuan visited some members and also attended the group meetings of the China Democratic League and the China Zhi Gong Party. CPPCC members are submitting proposals touching on every aspect of the nation's political, economic and social life. They will raise and examine proposals before forwarding them on to corresponding government departments for closer assessment.
