Our heroine today is a 12-year old Bengal female tiger. Her name is Larkshimi which means Goddess of Luck in Hindi. She gave birth to three tiger cubs this time.
Female tigers in the wild can live up to 15 years averagely. It will have 5 chances to give birth to babies in her life, and 2 or 3 cubs each time. In the first 8 weeks of the new born cubs, they depend entirely on mother’s milk.
Male tiger cubs are more naughty than the female ones. They also grow up quicker and stronger. In tiger’s family, father tiger don’t have to take the responsibility to raise kids. All the workload will be done by mother tiger herself. Adult male tiger and female tiger only meet during mating season. After mating, they live in each other’s territory.
Some of the tiger cubs will die of disease or natural disaster, and more of them will be hunted by hunters or killed by other predators. Only half of the tiger cubs will survive and grow up to guarantee the continuation of the tiger family.

雄虎仔比雌虎仔更淘气，生长速度也更快一些。雄虎不必负担哺育子女的义务，所有工作都由妈妈承担。雄虎和雌虎只在交配季节相遇，交配后它们生活在各自的领地里。
有些虎仔将在干旱、疾病、自然灾害中丧生。更多的被猎人或其他食肉动物杀死。只有将近一半能够生存下来，长大并繁衍后代。
Larkshimi finds it is good time to prey, because it is the mating season of chitals. The fighting chitals easily forget the existence of tiger and lead to a fatal mistake.
When Larkshimi tried to killed the chital, she has to avoid the sharp buckhorn which will be very dangerous to the tiger. After killing the chital, Larkshimi took the prey to where her cubs hide themselves. Larkshimi calls her cubs to come out and share the food. When the cubs happily come to the prey, Larkshimi is already out of breath.
Now the cubs are already 4 month old. Mother will give chances for the cubs to eat first. It surely not a easy thing to tear the skin of chital open. The cubs are always persistent. The female cub is waiting aside and see if her brothers have made any progress.
拉克什米感觉这是捕猎的好时机。因为这是白斑鹿的交配季节。争斗中的白斑鹿忘记了虎的存在。
当老虎试图咬死白斑鹿的时候，就要避开锋利的鹿角。然后杀死鹿把猎物带到孩子们藏身的地方。然后呼唤孩子们来吃猎物。当孩子们欢欣地跑过来的时候，虎妈妈已经累得气喘吁吁了。
小虎们已经四个月大了。妈妈会让孩子们先吃食物。当然坚韧的鹿皮并不容易撕开。但是小老虎们坚持不懈。小雌虎则在一旁等待哥哥们有没有进展。
