R&B音乐的定义：R&B是英文Rhythm & Blues的缩写, ”Rhythm” 节奏，“Blues”布鲁斯音乐，蓝调，所以R&B 译作“节奏蓝调”或“节奏布鲁斯”, 就是在蓝调中加入强烈的舞蹈节奏。通常早期R&B音乐调子比较抑郁低沉, 可R&B音乐发展到现在，已经与早期R&B大相径庭了。像Craig David的歌，你就不会感觉非常的压抑，反而感觉有青春的热情在里面。

R&B歌曲中通常有歌手即兴发挥的部分，经常唱到尾音部分就会不受节拍的限制，自创出了一些多变的节奏. R&B音乐源于黑人的Blues音乐，但简化了纯粹Blues音乐中乐器演奏的成分，更加注重歌手的演唱水平。所以R&B音乐对歌手的演唱技巧要求很高.

Timberlake tops MTV Europe awards
U.S. artists dominated the MTV Europe Music Awards, with Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Knowles and host Christina Aguilera taking home the big prizes

Warner Bros. “The Matrix Revolutions”' was released into 3,502 theaters on Wednesday and earned $24.3 million domestically. Babyface不仅是一位歌手，还是上世纪90年代初期和中期最为成功的歌曲创作人，他音乐的曲风以R&B为主，更有当代爵士的风格。他为Toni Braxton \Madonna \Boys 2 men等很多大牌歌手制作过音乐专辑并获奖无数，而这首When can I see you again曾帮他获得过格兰美最佳R&B男歌手奖。
这首歌由吉他贯穿全曲，搭配清爽的鼓声，Babyface略带中性的歌声也得到最好的发挥。

Beat在英文里的意思很多很多，但最常用的几个意思很简单。第一个就是“打，击打”，比如The waves is beating the shore.波浪敲打着海岸The waves is beating the shore. 或beat a drum 敲鼓。
第二个意思是“快速搅拌”，我们说的“打鸡蛋”的“打”就是用beat这个词，beat two eggs in a bowl. 在碗里打了两个鸡蛋.

Breath有很多好玩的词组，我们来看看：
lose one’s breath 意思是：喘不过气来lose one’s breath ,从字面上看，是把“呼吸都丢了，呼吸都没了”，那肯定是“喘不过气来了”。
short of breath上气不接下气，short of breath气短了。大家想象一下刚刚跑完800米时的感觉，你呼哧呼哧喘着气的，那时就用short of breath形容很合适啊
catch one’s breath歇一歇，喘口气， catch one’s breath喘口气。大家平时上学工作很忙很累了，好不容易有个休息日，那么就赶快catch one’s breath喘口气休息一下吧
