Ahdili is known as the Prince of the tightrope in China -- and for good reason. On Sunday he set two records at Wolong Lake in Xinjiang's Kanas Nature Reserve.

Walking on a wire 400 meters above Wolong Lake, the Uyghur tightrope artist performed his feat at the highest altitude it has ever been done. The 1,530-meter-long tightrope was set 1,607 meters above sea level between two mountains. But he was not alone on the wire -- his apprentice Saddar was part of the act.

One hour later, he reached his destination, followed about a half an hour later by Saddar's arrival at the other side. The second record was set when the two met, and then passed each other on the wire.
