French President Nicolas Sarkozy has attended a memorial at the main mosque in Paris for the victims of the Yemenia Flight which crashed off Comoros.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has attended a memorial at the main mosque in Paris for the victims of the Yemenia Flight which crashed off Comoros.

Sarkozy says his government will organize transportation for those families of the victims who want to travel to the Comoros to pay their respects.

The Airbus A-310 crashed amid heavy winds, killing all but one of the 153 people on board. Anger over the crash is running high in France's Comoran community.

They have denounced what they call poor conditions on Yemenia flights. French aviation authorities flagged the problems with the plane during a 2007 inspection.

Yemenia's lawyer in France says it's too early to say that the plane's condition was the cause of the accident.
