That's according to Britain's health secretary, Andy Burnham, who also said on Thursday that the number of confirmed cases puts too much pressure on health services. He added that the health ministry has decided to make it a priority to provide antiviral medications to the most vulnerable.
It will also abandon efforts to trace people who have been in contact with flu sufferers. And, health authorities will no longer compile daily updates on the number of new cases. Estimates of the general spread will be issued instead.
