The start of the 2009 World Athletics Championships is now just five days away. One hundred metre world champion Tyson Gay took some time out to talk about what it will take to beat the current world record holder and Olympic champion Usain Bolt from Jamaica.

26-year old Tyson Gay claimed a memorable gold at the last edition of the event in Osaka in 2007. After being widely hailed as the latest athletics sensation, Gay found his newly-found status eclipsed after Bolt capitalized on his injury and ran an incredible record time of 9.69 to grab Olympic gold in Beijing in 2008.

Tyson Gay, deffending world 100m champion said: "It's no secret that Usain Bolt is the man right now and his times are incredible, so it puts me under a lot of pressure. He has run faster than me and I have won the World Championship. So trying to defend my title it is a lot of pressure considering I won in 07."
