Looking to the future with basketball star Yao Ming: Yao has two seasons left on his current contract with Houston Rockets. He can opt out of the last season of his contract to become a free agent in the summer of next year. Whatever Yao Ming chooses to do will become one of the hottest topics in the NBA.

Yao said, "Leave Rockets or not, the answer will be came out next summer."

Some people speculate that Yao Ming may transfer to the Cleveland Cavaliers rather than extend his contract with Rockets. Chinese businessman Huang Jianhua's investment in the Cavaliers may bring some Chinese character to the team, and Yao Ming is an obvious choice. Cleveland's ambition to win the title was undone this season. But if Yao Ming can join LeBron James in the Cavalier lineup, it might be a different story. Amid all the guesswork, don't expect Yao to disclose anything.

He also said, "No one can know what will happen next year."

Though Yao didn't say anything about his contract, he had a lot to say to the Asian Championships. The group draw has already come out, but Yao says it doesn't matter who the Chinese team will be up against.

"China's only target is to reclaim the title. So the draw is meaningless for us. If we meet the strong team first, we will meet the weak team later. The Chinese team will battle to the end, so we will only concentrate on reclaiming the title", said Yao
