The Houston Rockets beat the Los Angeles Clippers  on Wednesday night. Yao Ming had 24 points and Rafer  Alston sank five 3-pointers while adding 21.

The Rockets led 53-46 at the break. And, Yao's reverse layup at the baseline kept the Houston's advantage early in the third quarter. But the Clippers began to fight back later on. Baron Davis sank a 3-pointer and Zach Randolph scored inside to pull Los Angeles to within two points . But, Alston answered beyond the arc for the Rockets who led by one into the final quarter.

The Rockets led most of the way. Davis hit another 3-pointer to cut the deficit to four. Ron Artest scored on the fast break with a layup to enlarge Houston's lead. Al Thornton flew in for a dunk to cut the lead to 95-89. But, the Rockets went on the win the game 103-96.
