Special Report:   2008 Beijing Olympic Games

A week long debriefing over the 2008 Olympics in Beijing ended with a press conference in London, the host of the next Games, on Thursday. Hein Verbruggen, who chaired the IOC's co-ordination commission for the 2008 Olympics, identified a 'welcoming nature' in the city.

Hein Verbruggen, IOC Member, said,"BOCOG and the Chinese authorities have done really huge training programmes for their children and also the adults in learning about the culture of other countries and receiving people, being nice, being friendly - and I think that in this field, especially in human relations, I feel that these Games have played a very, very substantial role."
