Chinese power forward Yi Jianlian hit consecutive jumpers to help the Nets surge to a 7-0 lead. New Jersey would take a 25-18 lead in the first quarter. Yi then continued to contribute for the Nets from both the ends of the court. He had all his nine points at the break.
But, the Nets could only manage 13 points in the third quarter. Yi's penetration early in the quarter was met with a foul, but Yi missed both the free-throws.
LeBron James had 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists in another dominating performance as the Cavaliers rolled to their eighth straight win.
The Boston Celtics, playing without Kevin Garnett for the first time this season, beat the New York Knicks 110-101. The Celtics were led by 22 points from Paul Pierce and shot 53 percent to hold off the Knicks without the suspended Garnett. The Celtics improved to 10-2 with the victory, the best record in the NBA.
And, Jameer Nelson scored a season-high 22 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 103-90 win over the Toronto Raptors. Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu each added 22 points for the Magic, while Chris Bosh scored a season-high 40-points and pulled down 18 rebounds for Toronto.
