A total of 226 torchbearers from all walks of life joined the relay, which covers a 13-kilometer-long route. Yinchuan is an ancient city with more than 1,300 years of history. Ningxia is the home of the Hui, one of the recognized Chinese ethnic minority groups.

Yinchuan is also the last stop in Ningxia and will move to neighboring Shaanxi province on Tuesday.
