Thousands of people at the square witnessed the ceremony before the relay started. Wang Jiasheng was the first torch bearer. The flame's tour in Quanzhou city, situated in the southeast of Fujian province and also a place closest to Taiwan in the mainland, will last for half a day before moving to neighboring city Xiamen.Now the relay is going on.
We can see people cheered with national and Olympic flags along the road. The Quanzhou's relay route will pass by Riverside Road, Linzhang Gate, Jiangbin Sports Park, Dapingshan Tunnel, and end on the square in front of the Straits Sports Center of Quanzhou city. The flame will leave for Xiamen at 12:00. The torch relay in Xiamen will start 14:00 local time from Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center.
