Russia's Dinara Safina has sent world number one Justine Henin crashing out of the German Open after round three on Thursday.
Playing just her second match after being away from the court for a month because of a knee injury, Henin showed no signs of weakness here, serving out the first set 7-5. But all that changed in the second: Safina closed it out with this powerful stroke, winning it 6-3 In the third, Henin's serve lost it's accuracy and that when the Russian took the final set to win the match, 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.

Serena, Jankovic, Ivanovic progress
Serena Williams had a fairly easy time against Agnieszka Radwanska.
The American met no strong resistance and sealed a 6-3, 6-1 victory to advance to the next round. Meanwhile,,Fourth seed Jelena Jankovic also continued her impressive run when to oust Russian Maria Kirilenko. And finallt, second seed Ana Ivanovic faced a tough challenge from Sybille Bammer, but eventually pulled through and won the match in three sets.
