Special Report:   2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Preparation work for the flame lighting ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is continuing in the ancient city of Olympia and Athens in Greece. CCTV reporter, Mao Xuzhi, is now in the Greek capital.  Earlier, she spoke with the chief choreographer of the ceremony.

First Olympic stadium The Acropolis 

In 1896,the Panathenean Stadium, or "Panathinaiko Stadio",
meaning in Greek "the stadium of all Athenians", was used
for the first edition of Olympic Games of modern times.
