Galaxy will play Shanghai-Hong Kong United as part of a pre-season Asian tour. Beckham scored from the spot in a penalty shootout in Galaxy's first match of the tour against FC Seoul on Saturday, but the touring side lost.

The 32-year-old midfielder has 99 England caps, but was left out of new international coach Fabio Capello's team against Switzerland because of a lack of match fitness. Beckham told a news conference that he still hoped to get his 100th cap.

David Beckham said "Then obviously leading into the games that are coming up with obviously the Galaxy and with England, we'll just have to wait and see. You know, all I can do is to get my fitness and play as many games as possible and you know the rest is out of my hands. I'll still be involved in football in some way, but who knows what, we'll have to wait and see. But I've got quite a few years left in me still playing football."
