Sun Tiantian, the winner of the 2008 Australian Open Mixed Doubles title, has returned home to a hero's welcome in Beijing. Although arriving around ten in the evening, Sun Tiantian was welcomed by national team head coach Jiang Hongwei, and by her fans. She becomes China's first tennis player to win titles at both the Olympics and in a Grand Slam. And her excitement was easy to see.

Sun Tiantian, the winner of the 2008 Australian Open  Mixed Doubles title, has returned home to a hero's  welcome in Beijing.

Sun Tiantian said "After winning the women's doubles title at the 2004 Athens Olympics, I hoped to make the same breakthrough at the Slams. So to win the mixed doubles title is surprising."

Along with her new partner Yuan Meng, Sun Tiantian's next goal is to grab her second doubles title at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
