A mass brawl in the final seconds of an ice hockey game in Russia's Super League has led to referees handing out a mammoth 378 minutes in penalties in what is already being called the dirtiest game in Russian ice hockey history. The trouble started when a goal by AK Bars Kazan in the dying seconds was disallowed by a referre, and then two players from the opposing Chelyabinsk ignited the fight by pushing the scorer onto the ice.

The rest of the AK Bars players on the ice rushed over to the boards to help their fallen team-mate and a mass brawl erupted. The refs tried desperately to restore order, but their efforts proved fruitless as the two benches cleared. The brawl was eventually brought to a halt, major fighters were penalized and the score remained 7-5 in favor of AK Bars Kazan.
