Special Report: 2008 Beijing Olympic Games![]() |
The second phase of the Beijing Olympic Games Tickets sales will re-open on December 10th.
Organizers of the 2008 Games say that over 1.8 million tickets will be sold by lottery. The second batch of Olympic ticket sales began at the end of last month, on a first-come-first-serve basis. But it was suspended shortly after opening when systems crashed because of overwhelming demand. The organizers of the 2008 Games announced on Friday that ticket sales are ready to resume. From December 10th to 30th, applicants can submit their applications through the Beijing Olympic Official Ticketing Website, or at designated Bank of China outlets. Similar to the first phase, all ticket applications will go through a lottery drawing system, and there will be no priority given to applications received first.
BOCOG will limit ticket purchasing; each application can be used for tickets to no more than two competition sessions. For each session, an applicant can receive a maximum of four tickets.
