Three years ago in China, Indonesia posted their first-ever Asian Cup victory with a 2-1 defeat of Qatar. Now, as co-hosts, Indonesia are determined to take things one step further.

Head coach Ivan Kolev was dismissed after taking the team to the 2004 Asian Cup finals, but is back again to lead Indonesia in what will be a tough Group D. Matched against Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and South Korea, advancement would seem to be out of the question.

But with the backing of thousands of home supporters, Indonesia believe they are capable of pulling off a couple of surprises.
