Eight-time champions Dalian Shide hosted the Xiamen Lions Sunday, but failed to capitalize on their home advantage, and ended up held to a goalless draw. And in the day's other match, Wuhan Guanggu have climbed up to seventh in the standings after their away win against Liaoning.

Dalian held to goalless draw

Both the home team and visitors are suffering from a goal drought, with Dalian scoring only 10 goals, and Xiamen 7, from their last nine matches.

The match on Sunday was no better. With few chances being created during the whole of the first half.

Dalian dominated the second half, and striker Zoran Jankovic's shot just went wide in the 67th minute.

And then Wang Peng couldn't get a decent pass from Jankovic when he had an empty net in front of him. The match ended 0-all.

Wuhan defeat Liaoning

The day's other host team Liaoning also found themselves out of luck, defeated by Wuhan Guanggu 2-1.

The visitors were the better team in the first half, but the deadlock wasn't broken until the 45th minute.

Liaoning leveled the score 24 minutes into the second half, however Wuhan earned their deserved victory three minutes later.

In the overall standings, Shandong top the table with 20 points, Dalian move to 5th place. Wuhan climb to 7th place following their victory, while Liaoning are still in 10th.
