RIO DE JANEIRO, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian soccer forward Ronaldinho Gaucho, who plays for Spanish league team Barcelona, may request not to play for the national team in the Copa America, Brazil's press said on Tuesday.
The move could strike another blow to Brazilian team manager Dunga after the Brazil Football Federation last week published Kaka's letter, which said the Milan player hopes to skip the Copa America due to the differences between the Brazilian and European playing calendar.
Dunga will announce list of players for the June 1 friendly against England in London's Wembley Stadium and the June 5 friendly against Turkey in the German city of Dortmund.
The Copa America runs from June 26 to July 15 in Venezuela, and the champion will go though to the Confederations Cup in 2009 in South Africa.
