You are what you eat. Or so we're often told. But it may not be quite so simple when it comes to the Olympics. How will Beijing cater to international tastes -- with a distinctively Chinese flavor -- in 2008?
Next year in Beijing, roughly two hundred fifty thousand participants will consume over thirteen million meals. If this quantity isn't daunting enough, there's also the question of quality. Just as important, though, is the question of style. Should Beijing stick with Chinese food or go international?
Senior Chef Ai Guangfu was a catering manager for the 1990 Asian Games. He recalls the popularity of Chinese food and believes traditional Chinese cuisine is a must for the Beijing Olympics.
