For almost five years, China's stock market remained bearish until recently when the country's securities watchdog issued a new set of regulations, including lifting the one-year ban of IPO on the country's stock market. As a result of that, investors have witnessed some market rallies. However, how likely are the policies going to revive the Chinese stock market in the long term and turn it from a casino, as some see it, to an investment tool? How to reform the country's stock market to contribute to the overall transformation of Chinese economy?
