"Wind Is Blowing" wins for real to life

"Wind Is Blowing" tells the story of some young city intellectuals who were sent by the government to the countryside in north China. Although the theme has been done in other screen productions, this show still stands out for its delicate portrayal of the roles by its cast members.

Set in the mid-1975's, the drama revolves around the love story of Shuai Zi, a young intellectual, and Niu Xianhua, a country girl. Yan Ni, who is popular for playing in the TV comedy, "My Own Swordsmen", and the award-winning young actor, Xia Yu, play the two leads.

The drama has awakened many memories for older audience members familiar with the mid-1970's. The show features authentic portrayals of that era's life and the people's spirit.
