CFL 2008 Scholarship Award Ceremony was held in Peking University on Nov.25 .
The CFL Scholarship award ceremony is an annual event staged by China Future Leadership Project in recognition of the outstanding performance of delegates from universities in every corner of China.
Held in Nan Pei Dian of the Peking University, this year’s Scholarship Award Ceremony was the 4th in the row, and well attended by professors from Beijing University and Tsinghua University, students, and parents of the award winning CFL delegates. Mrs. Wang Qifen, Director of Foundation of Peking University School of International Studies was the guest of honor in the prize presentation.
The China Future Leadership Project is an international students exchange program renowned world-wide for its commitment to foster an amicable relationship between Chinese students and the premium universities in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. This year the prize recipients included delegates from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Sun-Yat-Sen University and corporate delegates from Ford and New Oriental Education.
Miss Zhang Ying from Beijing University, winner of the second prize said, “The CFL project broadened my horizon and inspired me to take different perspectives when addressing issues.”
Mr. Kenneth Tsang, Chairman of CFL project said, “ Exchanges with Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Yale, and Stanford in USA and Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College and INSEAD in Europe is a rare privilege, one that laid a solid foundation for students who have a vision to further their studies overseas.”
“When we see the glow in the eyes of young men and women who came to us for the opportunity to chart unknown waters, to fulfill dreams, and to take up formidable challenges,” Mr. Tsang said, “ we are moved and automatically resonate with their passionate feelings.”
He added, “Like their parents, we cannot help but feel immensely proud of the ensuing success that they achieved in the realms of consulting, finance and higher studies.”
Mr. Frank Ge, Managing Director of Boya Elite International said: “The scholarship award is part of the overall drive of CFL to motivate students in their relentless pursuit of knowledge and learning. The scheme powers up the CFL experience and serves well the purpose as an engine to boost students in their strides for a brighter future.”
He also said: “This on-going program augurs well with our objective to provide international exposures for visionary students.”
The event was heightened and brought to a conclusion on an up-beat note of great feelings through a presentation by Mr. Kenneth Tsang entitled“Great Leadership – An Inspiration”.
