The Huangguoshu Waterfall Festival kicked off this Friday,aiming to attract even more visitors to the area.

Started in 2004, the festival showcases regional folk customs and culture. A performance offering a glimpse into the civilization and ancient rituals of Guizhou's Tunpu people, marked the start of the festival.
Tour groups have made the trip to the area for the festival...And over 200-thousand people are expected to visit the waterfall during China's National Day holiday.

A tourism expo opened earlier this week, as part of the festival. Local products such as tea,battik cloth, embroidery and opera masks are featured at the expo.
Located almost 140 kilometers from Guizhou's provincial capital of Guiyang, the Huangguoshu Waterfall has been the province's hottest tourist attraction during the past two decades.
