Nearly 60 paintings are featured in the "Fine Arts Exhibition of DPRK" in downtown Beijing. They represent the latest works of the top artists in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which turns 60 this year.

Most of the works belong to the school of thematic painting, which focuses on revolutionary subjects.

They are intended to celebrate the state's accomplishments and express appreciation for its citizens.
