Exhibit space covered 35 thousand square meters. There were nearly 14-hundred exhibition stands. The four-day event attracted 14 hundred exhibitors from 51 countries and regions.
Among them, over five hundred Chinese publishing entities proudly displayed their wares. China Publishing Group and Liaoning Publishing Group were well represented alongside international publishing giants like Pearson, Penguin and Elsevier.

Trade in copyrights was buoyant at the fair. Record volume was achieved for both imports and exports. Export of Chinese copyrights has evolved from specialized subjects like traditional medicine and language to a wider range. Books on modern Chinese society, technology, law and economy are achieving popularity abroad. The Chinese market also is one of the fastest growing markets for imported books, especially in English.
The Beijing International Book Fair is considered by many among the world's top international book fairs. Its size and stature is growing quickly. This year saw many first time US and UK publishers in attendance.
