The logo for the Paralympics stands tall at the center of the square. It's nearly 17 metres high. The logo rotates on a platform, 40 metres in diameter. At night the splendid array is illuminated by LED lights.

The flower displays were set out in Tian'anmen Square in late July, attracting thousands of visitors everyday to appreciate their beauty and to take photos.
A staff member said 430 thousand pots of flowers have been put to use so far. The number will blossom to a million by National Day, on October 1st.
