The exhibition traces the chronological order of the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. These dynasties span a thousand years covering the most glorious days in the history of Beijing. The periods left an abundance of treasures, including porcelain, jade, silver, Buddhist figures, ivory carving, calligraphy and furniture.
285 objects in total are on show, most of which are being displayed publicly for the very first time.
