One of the most arresting innovations of the "Sapphire blue series" is at the waist of the dresses. The designer uses traditional embroidery showcasing the Chinese peony texture. The sapphire blue outfits will be worn at medal ceremonies for gymnastics, fencing and indoor ball games.
The "Chinese scholar tree's - green series" captures the theme of the "Green Olympics." These are intended for the cycling, target shooting and the modern pentathlon events.
The "Jade White series" ingeniously reflects the gold and jade of this year's Olympic medals. The costumes are for outdoor ball games and equestrian events. They also are to be worn at the national stadium.
The "Pink series" is intended for boxing, weight-lifting and wrestling. The designer's aim was to apply the gentler shade to soften the raw energy of the brute force competitions.
