As summer vacation kicked off for students in China, the domestic tourism market has been brisk.

Children's summer camps and family tours are the most popular this summer. Favorite destinations include scenic sites like Huangshan Mountain in Anhui and Ermei Mountain in Sichuan. Coastal resorts like Dalian, Qingdao, and Sanya also are popular.

According to China's transportation authority, the domestic railway system has been carrying 4.5 million passengers daily since late June.
