More than twenty thousand artists will converge in Beijing prior to the Games. The cultural and artistic platform for exchange is meant to benefit all of Humanity. The exchange also recognizes diversified art genres around the world coupled with determination to thrive through appreciation and understanding.
Among those signing the letter are Peking Opera artist Yu Kuizhi, film director Zhang Yimou and composer Xu Peidong. Beijing plans a host of performances and exhibitions based on intangible cultural heritage and modern art during the Olympic Games.
