A Tibetan culture website has launched English and Tibetan language versions. The site, which belongs to the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture, has also upgraded its Chinese section.
The newly launched English-language site includes sections for News, History, Religion, Tourism, Tibetology, Tibetan Medicine, Education and the Tibetan Language.
It's China's first English website to a comprehensive package of information on the Autonomous Region.
Both the Chinese and Tibetan versions of the website have launched columns to provide a new platform for surfers to understand a real Tibet on the web.
It's also the first time that unicode is adopted for the input of Tibetan characters.
Si Ta, Vice Director of the United Front Work Department of CPC said "The new and upgraded versions of the website will become new windows on Tibet for the rest of the world. It will help more people understand the objective reality of Tibet."
The China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture is an organization for volunteers who love Tibetan culture. It has UN Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council.
