Thursday marks the eighth anniversary of Macao's return to China. Events are planned in Beijing and Macao to commemorate the occasion. A concert was held Monday at the Beijing Concert Hall.

The concert: "Macao Impressions" highlighted traditional Chinese music. Most of the music was newly composed and expressed the ever changing face of Macao since its return to the motherland.

One of the tunes "Macao Rhapsody", borrows inspirations from Portuguese guitar music and Chinese folk music to express the blend of eastern and western cultures.
