An art exhibition is part of celebrations for the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Jamaica. The paintings come from three Jamaican artists who have all lived in China for years, and draw on inspirations from the country.
China's Assistant Foreign Minister and Jamaica's ambassador to China cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition. They say they chose art to celebrate the special day because cultural exchanges are important to both sides.
These paintings are all created in China. Some express the artists' feelings about abstract concepts like harmony. And some are tangible things they see.
The artists say China's rapid growth means you are never bored, but at the same time traditional Chinese art and philosophy have given them inspiration.
