Linkin Park performs in Taipei on the second stop of its Asian tour, attracting over 40,000 fans.

Linkin Park is on a world tour to promote its new album "Minutes to Midnight."

The band drew big crowds in Europe. The U.S leg of the tour was a sell out. Then the group headed for Asia: first stop Singapore, then Taipei.

Chester Bennington from "Linkin Park", said, "We are not expected to be nominated. There are all kinds of side things we don't focus on. We really just focus on the music that we made, and that we plan the music for fans. so, we are more really thinking about tonight's show and getting on to the next city and performing there. That's kind of what we have in our brains right now".

Over 40,000 fans attended the Taipei concert. The band played a generic mix of electronica, rap and rock.

The excited crowd chanted throughout the 100-minute performance.

Organizers say the concert was the biggest draw in Taiwan since Michael Jackson played there, that despite a light drizzle and a 40 minute delay in getting the concert started.

Tzeng Shipei, fan of "Linkin Park", said, "What do I feel? I'm so excited, I'm going to have a stroke."

When the band presented its latest best-seller What I Have Done, the whole stadium burst into a frenzy of cheers and screams. The song is the theme of the Hollywood box-office smash, Transformers.

Wu Yushiun, "Linkin Park", said, "I feel so high, very high."

After Taipei, the band headed for Shanghai Sunday. It's the group's only stop on the mainland during the current tour.
