A family there has been renowned for generations for its unexcelled paper cutting expertise. The works of the Han family of Liaocheng are widely known among experts. Now a record setting work has been completed by a member of the family, 60-year-old Han Xiuqin.

Han's latest work is this eight-meter-long piece entitled "All Men Are Brothers". The work is based on one of the greatest novels of Chinese literature. The novel tells of the the adventures of a band of 108 outlaws, attempting to overthrow a corrupt government.

The characteristic personalities of all 108 figures were captured in precise detail by Han Xiuqin through her technique with scissors and paper. Painstaking effort went into every portrayal. The work took Han a full year to complete. She says the piece challenged her experience and craft accumulated in over 40-years of paper cutting.
