Members of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra treated a captivated audience to a unique performance in Moscow Tuesday night. The concert is part of a week-long promotional tour to Russia for: "Hong Kong Week".

In a masterful display of their command over their instruments, eleven musicians introduced the Moscow audience to the main instruments of the Chinese orchestra, including flute, zither, plucked and bowed strings and percussion instruments.

They proceeded to play two extracts from traditional Chinese tunes, "A Night of Flowers and Moonlight by Spring River" and "House of Flying Daggers".

It's the first time the thirty-year-old orchestra has performed in Moscow.

An audience said, "It sounds great to me. I like it very much."

"I want to say we welcome Chinese musicians performing here so we can get more insight about Chinese music and instruments," said an audience member.
