Special Report:   Year of China in Russia
Special Report:   China Tibetan Culture Week

Thursday night an exhibition opened in Moscow with a focus on the centuries-old culture of Tibet.

The show featured hundreds of graphics depicting the plateau's landscape and daily life among the ethnic group. There are Buddha portraits created by lamas and displays showing the unique medical tradition of local people in the region.

Since 2001, China has been holding large-scale exhibitions overseas to promote the cultural and historical tradition of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Based on opening day turnout, the Moscow show promises to be a hit in Russia.
