Times are rapidly changing in the sphere of China-Japan relations. Traditionally, Sino-Japanese relations have been dominated by economic matters. In recent years the greater emphasis has been placed on mutual understanding. This week, the "Beijing - Tokyo Forum" set its focus on expanding the diversity of exchanges between the two countries.

This week's "Beijing-Tokyo Forum" took a close look at Sino-Japanese relations. The event was organized by China's English-language newspaper China Daily, Peking University and Genron-NPO from Japan. It brought together top-notch academics and journalists from the the two countries, with the aim of creating stronger Sino-Japanese ties.
