Hong Kong pop duo Twins members, Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung, are to test their relative popularity and acting skills with two movies in which they star separately. The two movies are scheduled to roll in cinemas on the mainland from Tuesday.

Charlene Choi stars in "Simply Actors", a typical Hong Kong comedy, together with veteran actor Jim Chim and a bundle of theatre big names including Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang, and Sandra NG, etc.

Gillian Chung's "Naraka", adapted from a best-selling thriller, features a weak cast in comparison.

Although not having attended each other's premieres earlier this week, the girls denied the rumor of their disbanding. "We are just trying different things in movies." said Gillian Chung.
