Major players in the video games industry are turning their attention to women gamers. This week some of the industry's top developers and executives sat down in London to talk about the growing role of a new generation of female gamers and about a big market potential.

The gaming industry has been trying for years to develop games that attract women. Slowly it's making progress.

Nintendo's come out with a campaign featuring one of Hollywood's hottest stars, Nicole Kidman playing its "Brain Training" game.

Major game producers are test-marketing and Beta testing more games designed with women in mind.

The British Academy of Film Television and Arts in London held a round-table discussion on Women and Gaming this week. The aim is to encourage more participation by women in the industry and to tap into that big potential market that until now has been virtually an all-male domain.
