Another insight, into a different culture, one still struggling to find its roots in a new world. "Sacred Legacy," an irreplaceable record of North American native culture has come to China. "Sacred Legacy" consists of work first published a century ago by renowned American photographer and ethnographer Edward Sherriff Curtis.

His photographs reveal the people, the dress, and the day to day lives of more than 80 North American native nations.

Curtis's work, originally published between 1907 and 1930, at the time seemed destined for obscurity in rare book rooms and in private collections. Now it's experiencing a renaissance through its current world tour.

The unique photographic exhibition pays homage to the broad and extraordinary diversity among North American tribes, and to the photographer himself.
