They were 50 in number, all disabled, all accomplished artists presenting the premiere performance of "My Dream" at the Chinese Embassy in Berlin. The performance by China's Diabled People's Performing Art Troupe began with a colorful dance led by deaf-mute prima ballerina, Tai Lihua.

The dance, inspired by the Buddha sculptures in the Yungang Grottoes of China, mesmerizes the packed house. Tai Lihua appears at the head of a troupe in column. They are lauded not only for their amazing coordination and spectacular visual illusion, but for the fact they achieve this through their own inner worlds of absolute silence.
