A Muslim puppet theatre group from Pakistan is proving to be one of the top draws at an international puppet festival, taking place in England. Performing "Simple People", the group from Lahore has even been mentioned at one of the world's largest stages: the United Nations.

Pakistan's Rafi Peer Puppet Workshop group is one of many groups participating at this year's Dynamics International Puppet Theatre Festival - a reflection of the increasing diversity of culture within British society.

The theatre group's work has received high acclaim for its sensitive and moving production - with Pakistan's President so moved by their performance that he chose to speak about its message of conflict and greed when he addressed the United Nations.

Perhaps the biggest achievement for the group - dispelling some of the rhetoric that damages their country's reputation.
