Special Report: Cultural Heritage Day

Amid the big efforts to modernize the country, ordinary Chinese - both young and old - are looking to find peace and answers in the traditional teachings.
They might not be able to articulate their words clearly, but these young children are quite capable of reciting the teachings of China's ancient sage, Confucius.
Aged from one and a half to about six, children from the Dacheng Kindergarten are learning Chinese poems written by Confucius more than 2,000 years ago. The poems espouse the virtues of being polite, respecting elders, and working hard in school.
