Sotheby in Hong Kong will hold its spring auction of porcelain and jade in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on April the 8th. More than two hundred items will go under the hammer, with a total estimated price of over four hundred million Hong Kong dollars.

Attracting much of the public's attention are the two special auctions; one of imperial jade ware from the Qian Long era in the 18th century, and one of Chinese artworks bought by collectors at a number of Paris auctions from 1970 to 1996.

The pre-auction shows will be run in Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo and New York starting later this month.
