Rainstorms hit parts of southern China

Parts of southern China have been ravaged by rainstorms, in particular, the areas of Hubei and Zhejiang Provinces, and Chongqing municipality.

In Chongqing, a rainstorm affected about 1.3 million residents, and killed 6 people. Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, experienced record rainfall for June in 27 years, over 140 millimeters in just a few hours.

The national meteorological center forecast that the rainstorms in southern China will weaken over the next few days. High temperatures will linger in the North for the next 3 days.
